compiled by Henzer Guo, released as Public Domain

This file contains almost 6,000 English (US) headwords with parts of speech labeled, and translated into Chinese (Putonghua, simplified). It is primarily intended for Chinese-speaking learners preparing for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), although it can also be useful for advanced English-speaking learners of Mandarin Chinese.

      German-Chinese basic vocabulary:
Deutsch-Chinesischer Grundwortschatz
Status
compiled by H.-P. Postel, released as Public Domain

German words translated into standard Mandarin (Putonghua or Guoyu). The Chinese cognates were transcripted in pinyin, but also written in traditional characters (Taiwan) and simplified characters (PR China, Singapore).
NB No special fonts or language modules are required, since here Pinyin tones are indicated by numbers, and embedded bitmaps were used to display Chinese characters. German in these documents complies with the traditional German spelling system (prior to 2000).
